Harrods have a world-wide reputation for providing their customers with the best and when it comes to attracting customers they want the best!
Harrods needed a large digital display system for one of their prime Brompton Road windows that was seamless, bright, high resolution and configurable into an unusual eye catching shape. This was a tall order and only one system could deliver all of their requirements.
The ITrans system by Screen Technology offers a unique combination of exciting features (1.7mm pixels, 2,000 Nits and seamless scalability) that is ideal for creative situations where there is high ambient light and the audience is very close to the screen.
Other technologies such as LED, although bright, have difficulty with resolution and Plasma tends to wash out in high ambient light.
Screen Technology worked with Remote Media (the clever people behind the National Lottery ticketing system) who are a key strategic partner for Harrods regarding audiovisual experiences.
Jason Cremins, CEO Remote Media commented "The use of ITrans enables unique shaped high-brightness screens to be installed in-window to attract attention unachievable through the use of conventional LCD or Plasma displays. Powered by our signagelive player HD and signagelive mobile GPRS/3G, the ITrans can be remotely update and monitored from the signagelive platform anywhere in the world using an Internet Browser."
Paul Bayely, CTO Screen Technology added “The modularity and flexibility of the ITrans system enables innovative and creative visual merchandising teams (like the fantastic team at Harrods) to produce wonderful, eye-catching displays that break from convention and offer an attention grabbing medium for brands to showcase their products. Combined with the powerful signagelive platform from Remote media, we were able to deliver a ground-breaking solution, which has clearly attracted the attention of leading brands such as Jaeger.
