| ITrans® Monolithic Specifications
ITrans displays are made from tiles which can be assembled to make essentially
any rectilinear shape or size. The typical screen size range is 62 - 200+ inches
diagonal (1.3 - 5m+ diagonal, 1m - 12.4sq.m+ in area) for standard screen
formats. ITrans can also create horizontal or vertical banner displays and gives
designers previously undreamt of scope for imaginative use of display media.
The first products have a 1.7mm pixel size (giving a resolution equivalent to
printed large area posters), full colour video and excellent image quality over a
range of distances from 1m to many 10s of metres. This pixel size allows an 85"
screen to be made with the same resolution as a good quality notebook or PC
monitor.
The ITrans optical design eliminates sub-pixellation and the image break-up
associated with LEDs and Plasma displays when viewed too close. This ensures
that text is readable from all distances, a great advantage for any application
such as electronic billboards which use text to get their message across.
ITrans displays are uniquely able to provide both the resolution and the
brightness required to give good image quality. ITrans displays have a typical
luminance of 2000cd/m2 (NIT) which is ideally suited to sheltered daylight areas.
