AIM listed Screen Technology, a specialist provider of large format display solutions, is continuing its expansion programme with the opening of an 850 sq ft demonstration showroom in Soho.
With increasing worldwide demand for the company’s revolutionary technology, ITrans, the three floor building in Kingly Court in the heart of London, will provide the perfect base for product demonstrations for customers, distributors and resellers, as well as meetings and presentations for current and potential investors.
In order to meet the company’s long term growth and expansion plans, it moved, in February 2006, into its new UK headquarters within the Maris Centre in Cambridge. The 20,000 sq ft facility offers custom built research, development and manufacturing and production facilities, as well as increased office space and meeting rooms.
ITrans is the world’s first and only technology to provide both high resolution moving video quality images and clear information on large screens, which can be viewed, without image distortion or reduced visibility, from any distance and across a wide angle of view. The technology enables a wide range of new approaches to the design and use of large public space displays. The addressable market is estimated to be almost $7 billion by 2009, according to market research data from iSuppli.
Andy Holmes, Screen Technology’s Commercial Director, comments, “Since the launch of ITrans, customer demand has been higher than expected and the new demonstration showroom in London, as well as the Maris Centre facility gives us maximum flexibility to meet our expansion plans and to meet market requirements.
“The situations and applications open to ITrans have huge potential. The technology offers the high brightness required for use in high ambient light environments such as exhibitions, trade shows, departure lounges, department stores and hotel and conference facilities, together with high resolution, excellent viewability and an affordable price.”
